- Check your switches and breakers. Go to your circuit breaker and make sure that you haven’t tripped a breaker and caused your furnace to shut down. The furnace should be marked on the switchboard, but if it isn’t, look for it connected to one of the larger switches. If it’s not in the “on” position, flip it into place.
- Clear the way. This includes replacing air filters and ensuring the returns and vents are all clear of obstructions. Blocked airflow, no matter the cause, can cause major problems for your furnace.
