Here are a few things you should consider when trying to decide whether to repair or replace your furnace:

The Age of Your Furnace

If you take care of your furnace and have it properly inspected each year, it’s very likely to last you approximately 10 – 15 years. That said, if you start to experience furnace problems after about a decade (including decreased performance, higher costs, and frequent breakdowns), you may save more in the long run by opting for a replacement—that way you can benefit from the energy savings of an efficient system.

Your Monthly Heating Costs
