Saving money on your monthly electric bills in the summer is important—so what is the best thermostat setting during the hottest season of the year? We recommend keeping your thermostat set to 72 degrees (at the lowest) with the fan set to AUTO rather than ON.
Why is that the best setting? For most people, 72 degrees is a comfortable indoor temperature; however, for every degree you can raise the temperature, you’ll save even more money on your monthly electric bills! Setting the fan to AUTO is also very energy-saving. When you set your thermostat to AUTO, it means the fan will only run when your air conditioner is running—and you don’t really need the air to be circulated from your AC unless the AC is actually doing something!
